You’re walking down the street and somebody stops you, declares you have an awesome bag and wants to know where they can get one too. You have to smile apologetically (or try very hard to hide your smug grin) and tell them that sorry, it’s one of a kind…
At least, this would be the scenario if you get your hands on one of the new bags available through a tag-team effort from Details Magazine and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).

So what’s this whole project about? Well twenty designers were provided with a generic duffle bag and told they could pretty much do whatever they wanted to it in order to put their own stamp on it. The end products have all been put up on eBay and are currently available now to bid on.

Be warned, all the auctions end on 17 June at 8am PDT so if you’re keen to own one of these custom duffles for yourself, make sure you make a note on your fridge, set reminders on your phone, scribble the date on your bathroom mirror in toothpaste…whatever works for you, as long as you don’t end up kicking yourself because you missed the deadline. The proceeds of these duffles are going towards the CFDA Foundation to benefit emerging designers.
